Seth
Age 15 · Home district: Kampala
Seth’s life was upended when his mother left for work in Saudi Arabia after separating from his father. He was sent to live with his father and stepmother, but instead of care he met domestic violence and abuse. Unable to bear it, he fled, and ended up living on the streets. He was in Primary Five at the time.
In February 2022, Seth was rescued from the streets of Kisenyi and admitted to the M-LISADA Foundation rehabilitation home, where counselling and psychosocial support helped him recover from the trauma he had been through.
With sponsorship secured through the Willow Foundation, Seth was able to stay in school. Today he is in Senior Two, working hard to rebuild his future through learning.
Protection, rehabilitation, and a chance to learn put him back on the path he had lost.
