Calvin was born on the streets of Kampala and met hard challenges from his earliest years. His mother left when he was two, and he was raised by his father, who was homeless and struggled with drug addiction.

When his father went out collecting scrap metal one day and never returned, Calvin was left in the care of another homeless man, Najib. Then Najib died in an electrical accident, and Calvin was completely alone on the streets.

Mtaani Foundation stepped in and rescued Calvin. Through the generosity of Mr Ssebwato Martin, he was welcomed into a loving foster home, where he could finally know stability, care, and safety.

Today Calvin is thriving in a supportive family and has started school, with the chance to learn, grow, and build a brighter future. With continued support from Mtaani Foundation and his foster family, he is leaving the hardest years behind him.
